The RJ45 connection is used for Internet purposes. RJ45 connectors are available in CAT5e and CAT6 versions. There is a shielded and an unshielded version for both categories. When connecting the connector to a shielded cable (FTP / S/FTP / SSTP), a shielded connector must be used. If the UTP cable is unshielded, an unshielded plug is used.
